To get it working within Blender: install and run Octane deamon on slave ( needs to be the same cersion as workstation )
After entering default values when installing most of the time it works. If deamon is running on slave -> Blender should automaticly detect the slave gpus.

Seems like a weird bug, but is resolved now! Un-installed previous versions and deleted Standalone. Now re-installed everything including Standalone ( 3.04.5 ) and works like a charm!

In the new version ( 11.12 - 2.78) :
In the data property, checking 'auto smooth' normals completely disables the render of the object. Everything else is rendered, except objects with this 'auto smooth' normals is checked.

Mesh type 'Global' is not rendering in 11.12 - 2.78
In the new version ( 11.12 - 2.78 ) > Everything that is of meshtype 'Global' is not rendered out in both 3d viewpoint and render result. Switching to 'scatter' renders out just fine.

He, was looking into this myself yesterday also and discovered you have to play with the "z-depth max" input. Crank it up and you'll see some nice depth.
I am however curious if you have AO working. My scene is showing only colored normals...

OK, thanks for clearing that up. I was focused on rendering speed and had to manually set things back at 'global' to increase speed. It all depends on what kind of scene your creating off course and personnally I mostly do stills. I've now edited the properties.py as "aufwind" suggested and it fixed ...

When creating a new object the Object Data - Mesh Type is set to 'Scatter'. Can this default be set to 'Global' ?
