thanks for clarifying beppe.
I see, I know about the workaround, only issue is that I'm not sure if I can use same 3d noise with it as with Volume object? Can you define different density based on a 3d noise inside the cube using this?
Thanks,
Nejc

Re: Transparency inside volumes
thanks for your reply beppe.
So I'll try to simplify this even more for you.
What I'm trying to do it use image with an alpha on a plane inside volume object.
As you can see, alpha works well on image without volume.
On image with volume you can see the problem, visible plane borders that ...

Hi all,
just wanted to share this personal project here too, as it was pretty much fully rendered with Octane for C4D.

And a behance page: https://www.behance.net/gallery/48176557/Grow

Transparency inside volumes
Hi,
at the moment I'm trying to figure out an issue or limitation, with using objects with transparency channel inside octane volume object.
Attached is the very simplified version of the problem, where you can still see 100% transparent plane inside volume. I've tried pretty much every option ...

Re: Focal Length change & Motion Blur
Hi,
if your are referring to the Camera MB, a position transformation is needed.
here is a test by adding a bit of movement to the camera to introduce the MB:

Focal Length change & Motion Blur
Hi everyone,
i just ran into something that seems like a limitation with Motion Blur, so just checking if this is correct or there is any kind of workaround.
Motion blur doesn't seem to pick up Focal length change on Camera, so for instance when Zooming in or out, there is no motion blur at all ...

Hi guys,
I just finished this short animation fully rendered with octane (with particles, dof, motion blur..) and wanted to share it here too.
Thanks for checking it out!
Cheers,
Nejc

Re: Personal ident project
twistedpoly, I think this is where the new "diffuse roughness" option in one of the latest octane rc would come in handy for the upper part.
Added diffuse roughness which allows you to simulate very rough surfaces like sandpaper or clay. It works similar to Oren-Nayer.
