Afaik, No official info/replies in the posts I read has been given on how stability of connection will effect rendering (of stills or animation).

There are far too many threads on this ...

Is it as simple as:

When there is a connection the renderer can render

and

When there is no connection the renderer cannot render?

copies of Octane. My mistake. I have it set up
on two different computers because I have a copy
of octane on each, and also access to the forum on each.
Had to move to the other computer and forgot.

I happen to be lucky that I do have an around the clock internet connection,
