Re: Vertex Displacement question

Thanks for your detailed answer !
But you cannot expect to have correct mapping without correct uvs.
And the dream collapses.
My indirect question was indeed if there was a way to avoid using uv maps or cubic projection for texture displacement maps, maybe one day who knows :)

Cheers,
F.

Re: Vertex Displacement question

Hi Beppe, thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately this still doesn't work for me, either with a seamless bitmap texture or an octane noise.
Also I have a bit of trouble figuring out in which direction vertex displacement seems to move the polygons, no matter which vector space I use the displacement ...

Vertex Displacement question

Hello !
I guess this question might have come a lot but I wasn't able to find any answer from the previous posts/discussions.
I've been trying to get a proper seamless displacement on a mesh using triplanar projection in conjunction with the vertex displacement node, but somehow I'm still stuck with ...

Re: Volume objects not showing up in picture viewer.

Just tested with 3.02 R1, still nothing on the picture viewer..
Edit: Some materials/textures are not showing up even when updated, had to go back to 3.00 R1 to get them back.

Re: Volume objects not showing up in picture viewer.

I'm unfortunately unable to test this version as it is R17 only, which I don't have access to right now..
Edit: I dropped by the office to try with the R17 version but for some reason the plugin don't even bother to show up in the plugins list, I also tried on another computer to be sure, with the ...

Re: Volume objects not showing up in picture viewer.

I tried with R17 version of c4d with no luck as well.
Do you know if it's possible to downgrade to the previous version of the beta, or is there is a known ETA for the next version ? I would go back to V2 but no volumes back then, and sadly I can't launch any render until the issue is fixed ...

Re: Volume objects not showing up in picture viewer.

And... is there a workaround, or is it an issue that will stick with this version ? Also, I'm not quite getting what you're suggesting I should add to the scene ?

Anyways, thanks for the quick heads up !

Volume objects not showing up in picture viewer.

Hello !
Since the last update to the C4D plugin, the volume objects won't show up in the picture viewer, even with forcing the live viewer update via the object tag.
Scenes that were working fine the day before have the same issue, with the exception of one that is using a cached turbulence fd ...
