Re: Official Rhino Plugin?

I just really hope Otoy doesn't get kicked around by Autodesk into not playing friendly to any outside competition. AutoDesk does have a big history in this area. Would love more than anything to one day see an integrated Octane Viewport up and active in Rhino!

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v1.0 beta 2.57[NEW/CURRENT]

just curious. I assume no standard MAX material creation Translates in any form, over into the active Octane Live Previewer, right? All materials that were made anywhere prior by others will not come over as any standard diffuses? (without any of the octane enhancements,) if so, is there a point in ...

Anyone guide me to a topic about spotlighting....

I've only been able to have emitters display a very diffused emission, even when using an .ies that shows a harder edge representation in it's definition, but affects the scene like the other lights... really diffused

Re: OctaneRender® 1.0 beta2.52 [CURRENT] >>> download here <<<

I appreciate your response!
it's still a little fuzzy to me, though, if I need to completely 'clean' all indications of a driver ahead of installing a new one.. I have been through this so many times now, and will always find some kind of critical error on any nvidia driver... I didn't get out of ...

Re: OctaneRender® 1.024 beta 2.47 PMC TEST (lin/mac/win)

I've never had luck with updating any NVIDIA drivers. Anytime I've ever had to change out from the default (sent stock) manufacturer's version sent with the card, I always experience system freezing results. It seems now I have Random system seizures whenever I have a browser open for a while (could ...

Re: OctaneRender® 1.024 beta 2.47 PMC TEST (lin/mac/win)

Is it all that necessary to always be updating the graphics driver?
Can one just update on the CUDA part and leave the Gdriver alone?
I have found more times than not that anytime I update on a Gdriver
The result is untennable and since I'm doing this all here on the system
I built here at my job, I ...
