Is it me or the galeries on 3dquakers.com are broken? I've tested on 3 browsers but no visible pictures... The links to pictures are there but no thumbnails appears in the list.
Have seen the same, hasn't been like that for too long though. Also try 3DQuakers on Facebook where they post regularly ...

Re: Tree wind animation Xfrog VS Speedtree VS something else?
Forester seems like the perfect solution, although I wonder how well it is going to hold up in a forest scene with 50 - 200 trees + other vegetation.
I encourage you to give it a shot. Forester is excellent, intuitive, endlessly customizable & delivers great results. Used it recently on a project ...

Re: What is "Revert Baking" used for?
That's a good explanation, thanks Mojave.
I'm still fiddling with this, trying to figure out how to use the method with an animated camera. I've got a large terrain scene (c4d) with camera flythrough, and am trying to get the method in the demo scene above working. Feeling unusually stupid as I do ...

Re: rendering resolution - 4k - 2k? like video camera?
render resolution should match or even be greater to the footage resolution. You know, pixels are easy to reduce, not so easy to enlarge ;)
Another factor is that when you downsize something, things that are "small" (fine lines, for instance) in the larger, master copy may be resized out of ...

Re: What is "Revert Baking" used for?
I second all of the above requests for more information about how this is working & how to control it.
Also, just a general comment as a user: it would be easiest if I could, in C4D, just add a "fisheye" tag to my camera and animate it as usual. Jumping through hoops to accomplish stuff like this ...

VERY much appreciated. Thanks for posting.mojave wrote:Hi guys,
I'm posting a sample scene setup using a hemisphere geometry to render a fisheye camera using the baking camera functionality and the "Revert baking" option.
I hope it helps

Re: What is "Revert Baking" used for?
Just to confirm are you using the mesh as a camera volume? Could you share a screenshot of what it looks like when the baking is not flipped? Also, an ORBX package if you can may help.

Re: What is "Revert Baking" used for?
So I have a scene I'm playing with this on. I've added a baking camera, ticked "revert baking," assigned a new baking ID to the mesh I want to use, and connected the baking camera to render target. Getting all black output, so am quite sure I'm doing something drastically wrong.

I'm the guy in the tweet above. I'll be testing this as soon as I'm back at work. We're hopeful that it'll solve an issue for us, will report back.
