That's what I did Paul, but I did not add the geometry out node. I think the problem is not that (it works even without that node), but it's a scale problem.
The original size of the vdb cloud is much larger than the block I want to associate with. When I scale the block, to get the desired size of ...

Re: Problem with Volumetric
Can you explain the procedure? Please Paulface_off wrote:Hi - it is much easier to do this by using the plugin proxy system to load an ORBX or OCS containing the VDB file and it's material.

Problem with Volumetric
Hi there,
I know that Rhino is not the most suitable software for volumetric rendering, but I had a bit of time and decided to try it out.
In the standalone I associated a .vdb cloud to the Render Target, modified the density, absorption and scattering parameters to get the effect you see and ...

Re: Problem loading the plugin
Ok, this way works. But until some time ago I could easily double-click the file and the plugin loaded successfully. Why this change? Pls see question 15 at https://docs.otoy.com/?manual=manuals/products/rhino/v3/faq/#rhino-v3-faq .

Re: Problem loading the plugin
Hi - the plugin should load when Rhino starts up. Have you tried starting Rhino (which should cause the plugin to load) and then loading your scene? Do not double-click your .3dm file, since Rhino does not load some plugins when you do this.

Problem loading the plugin
Hi there,
from a little time I am having problems every time I open a scene.
The plugin does not load and I am forced to create a new empty scene, then copy and paste the other scene to use octane. But once saved, when I open the problem occurs again and I have to repeat the same steps.

Re: Shadow Layer
By "their appropriate layer" I mean Shadows Layer.
This is a part of the render, where you can see a shadow at the bottom:

I enabled the Alpha Channel:

However, the Shadows Layer is empty:
