Hello all, I just finished a few renders of my second test with Octane, this time messing around with bump and the medium parameters. Again, what can I say, I'm blow away with the results from Octane.

Mate, that last one is quite lovely!
Got some weird UV seam going on but nothing a quick brushing up won't fix

Re: Pudge: An animated sack of skin
Brilliant! What on earth did you create that in?

Haha glad you liked it - the mesh was created in Cinema4D as were the soft body dynamics. I used BodyPaint to UV unwrap and then used Photoshop to paint in the texture using images.
Then finally ran that map through CrazyBump to get Normal ...

Pudge: An animated sack of skin
Hey guys, thought I'd share a little animation I worked on.
I'm very impressed with the speed and intuitiveness of Octane; as a first test I was pleasantly surprised, and am highly looking forward to switching my workflow to an Octane one.

Camera Clipping - Far
Hello all, I've recently purchased a license for Octane (SA & C4D) and am absolutely thrilled with the results I'm getting.
Great work Aoktar!
I have a rather complicated scene that I've been wanting to switch over to Octane for, but it relies heavily on camera clipping settings in the Near and ...

Re: Octane 2.0 + C4D: Hair
Very cool tests, I think for my purposes this is promsing and will work very well.
Will check periodically to see if/when the demo becomes available.
Thanks!

Re: Octane 2.0 + C4D: Hair
i suppose that you are trying 1.5x demo, is it? Hair rendering is a part of Octane Render 2.0. The samples, that's available for version 2.0. So it does not work with sweeps, support hair geometry in render engine.

Octane 2.0 + C4D: Hair
Hello all, I've been working on trying to get Octane to render hair from the C4D Hair module while keeping the settings from the Hair material (Color, Length, Kink, Clump, etc...).
The only way I've been able to render it is by making the hair actual geometry using the Sweep mode in the Hair ...
