Well, you actually can stack materials, when using polygon selection in the texture tag... this doesn't solve every mapping problem, but helps once in a while...

Re: network rendering in c4d
hi ahmet!

Re: network rendering in c4d
hey ahmet!
short update: i re-installed everything from scratch and it's working now!
GPUs are still not showing up in setings/devices (are they supposed to do so?) but are clearly rendering now. in the viewport it now says Gpu: 2/2 Slaves: 1. so, everything's nice now!
one question left: how do ...

Re: network rendering in c4d
allright, thanks!
one more thing i just found outt: the octane standalone version on my mac actually does use the two GPUs from the pc. so, the problem must be related to c4d...
best.

Re: network rendering in c4d
hey ahmet,
one more question: may the problem appear, because i'm logged in with two different accounts? because octane on my mac is registered with another account than on my pc... may this be the problem?
thanks!

Re: network rendering in c4d
yes,
i can see the two GPUs from the pc in my C4D octane network settings.
but, as said before, they do not show up in 'devices' and live viewer says 'NetRender 0/0'. i doublechecked that all versions are updated to 2.21.1...
any ideas?
thanks again!

Octane crashes when rendering hair
hi!
i'm trying to render an animated object with round about 38000 hairs attached to it. i noticed that, when the object moves the hair doesn't follow but stays where it initially was... so i put an octane object-tag on the hair object and checked "update mesh". when hitting render now, c4d crashes ...
