I just want to add how much trouble this has caused our whole studio. Everyone is wasting hours everyday waiting for licenses. As a studio, that can make or break us financially.
Please go back to a more sane licensing arrangement OTOY

I have never even heard of Octane being hacked, so i dont know why they are so super paranoid.
Otoy leaves a bad taste in my mouth nowdays, it seems that they are not so concerned with fixing issues or being accommodating to clients

This would be extremely useful for us too. I often have very high polygon meshes generated from point clouds which are very time consuming to UVUnwrap/Bake. Being able to render the vertex colour on the mesh would be great but so far I have not been able to uncover a way to achieve this.

Xrefs on Cause Problem with Material Conversion from 2x to 3
If there are Xrefs on when opening a file, a lot of local materials do not convert and turn to white. Please fix. Thanks

Was so pumped to try out Adaptive sampling, as my hair has gone grey waiting for it. So I tried the JohannesL_WindowCorner_Octane scene as a test for Adaptive Sampling, using the default settings. Rendering 2000 samples on an image 3000x4750px

And meanwhile over at the Corona ranch they have an Altus equivalent built into the frame buffer, no need for likely hack and buggy 3rd party implementation, with additional cost to users.

So i feel let down by Otoys lack of Roadmap, as we have been developing more of UE4 as this appeared to be the engine that is suggested in all of the demos released by Otoy.
So that leaves me asking when will UE4 be supported or is Otoy focusing now on Unity instead of UE.

We have been testing Altus and it is showing some promise, though it fails due to memory on super large VR image. They tell me this we be fixed early next year. I hope in 3.1 that it can have adaptive + post processing noise removal built in as using a 3rd party plugin is not ideal in the long term ...

Otoy really needs to implement both Adaptive (similar to Fstorm) and Post removal similar to (Vray and Corona) if it want to stay in the game.

Hi Paride, the problem was occuring even after i removed Xrefs. Ie there was errors i think due to not having Corona or Vray installed on my v3. So maybe some elements relating to Vray or corona need to be skipped in the conversion process.
