Winter is coming...this April. We targeted March originally, but decided to wait until after GearVR2.

April is almost over. Shouldn't this much hyped "holographic lightfields" batcave have been released by now?

Re: OctaneBench

Can't wait for OpenCL and build a mini-cluster of Radeons! I started losing faith in Nvidia when the Kepler based 680 turned out to be slower in CUDA apps than a Fermi based 580, which was a compute beast. AMD seems to offer a lot more raw compute performance per dollar than Nvidia. Once Octane goes ...

Winter is coming...this April. We targeted March originally, but decided to wait until after GearVR2.

I hope that's the final delay then. I can't wait to navigate through the scene and test the positional ...

Re: Vinaya - The slow path to completion

Absolutely mindblowing work ElBloko! Your attention to detail is out of this world. Could you give an estimate of how many triangles this scene contains in total?

A bit off topic, but since it's in my area of interest, has anyone seen this article about Gensler (the largest architectural firm in the US) which is using Octane with Revit?

Hyper-speed rendering: How Gensler turns BIM models into beauty shots in seconds

Seven seconds. That is all it took for ...

Re: 2.00 demo is available

Thanks a lot for this demo, I've tried it with an Alembic scene exported from Maya and the displacement mapping and motion blur are fast as hell. Lots of fun so far, it's just crazy to see everything update in realtime! :D

I did some speed comparisons (on a GTX 780) with a forest scene and a car ...
