Re: OcDS 1.2.120.34xx - BUG REPORTS
Actually I think you might be right. It looks like I've got enough vram, but for some reason it's showing 0kb for geometry. It's only showing the memory taken by textures.

I'm not even at half Vram available, and it's still dying.

Re: OcDS 1.2.120.34xx - BUG REPORTS
I've replicated a problem on the Lenovo y500, and it's a severe one. It's crippling in my case. I simply can no longer use the product. In troubleshooting this I actually did a full re-install of windows 8.1 and all drivers involved just to be certain that I wasn't dealing with file corruption.

Re: ISO:Skin Texture formula
Hey Jim
I've had the same experience with the skin textures being too glossy. What you are looking for to turn that down is "roughness". It's generally found under the glossy section of the material.

More data after going through the log file. (I didn't realize that Octane wrote to the DAZ log.
WARNING: QObject::killTimer: timers cannot be stopped from another thread
This is repeated about a thousand times in the relevant log file.

Renders that never start.
I've got a few scenes that I'm trying to update to octane materials. One in particular will never start rendering. The octane window opens and it says "building geometry" forever.
What I want to know is if there's a log that I can see to determine what exactly is going wrong.

two more usage questions
I'm sorry that I'm having to ask what are probably really obvious questions here, but documentation....
1. Is there a way to apply a material preset to multiple surfaces at the same time or do I really have to drag and drop the material to every single surface? I've got some scenes with hundreds of ...

Serious performance issues.
I'm running an I5 with about 6gb of ram (a bit low I know), in an SLI setup, and since I've installed the Octane plugin Studio's speed has dropped to a crawl. Things like bringing up context menus are taking up to 5 seconds It can't even seem to handle two figures in the same scene without locking ...

Re: Applying Octane Materials/Shaders
Unfortunately I now have another problem. I'm trying to make the Iris, Sclera, and Cornea into glossy material. I've created the new material, but it's really unclear to me how I can link a texture to it in the node thingamajigger (technical term).

So that's using the DAZ SSS Skin material from the Live DB. As you can see it's pretty shiny. Which isn't really a problem with this render, but it's going to be a problem in general later. I can't seem to dial down the gloss at all. I've tried cutting the specular ...
