Re: Octane for Softimage 1.02 RC12 [Current]
Cheers :)
By the way, is the Octane 2 features (especialy render passes) supported by SoftimageOctane?
(I'm still working on version 1.5 of octane)
Thanks

Re: Octane for Softimage 1.02 RC12 [Current]
I don't get why exr should be different from png in render region withing XSI. It should be same. Other thing is when you compare image files in some external viewer. Exr is written in linear color space so to look correct you must apply some LUT typically sRGB profile. On other hand png is already ...

Re: Octane for Softimage 1.02 RC12 [Current]
I believe it was RC11 or RC10 not less. We are using exr output, but before RC12 exr was png actually.

Re: Octane for Softimage 1.02 RC12 [Current]
Hi,
as we upgraded to RC12 our renders becomes darker than before without any change in scene. To match old render with the new one we must add gamma 2.2 to already corrected exr. In other words we must add 2x gamma 2.2 correction to the linear exr.
Any ideas?
Ales

Re: Multiple UV sets on mesh
Hi Gescort,
I know about UV limitation coming from using of OBJ format. I'm wondering if there is cheat how to select different UV sets without duplication of particular object. Let think about one UV set for bump and second one for color map like we are using normally in XSI. How you dealing with ...

Re: Octane for Softimage 1.02 RC11 [Current]
When I select exr as the render output file it seems it's png file with exr extension.
Can you check that please.
Thank you
