What are you going to do. "You have to sign it into law before you can read it." As exciting as this appears to be, once bitten - twice shy.

Dupliverts and instances not rendering
3.06
I tried to make a fence around a lot and started with one slat and then added an array modifier and a curve modifier. In preview solid and wireframe you can see the geometry, but when rendered it doesn't appear. Thought it might have been too many instances of the slat so I reduced it from ...

Re: Update and Introduction
Hi Azen,
Based on your initial assessment; how long do you think it will be until we see any software updates or improvements? What will be your priorities of fixes or features?
Thanks
James

Re: Particles Systems & Volumes
Try to import the file into Octane Stand-alone. If you still can't get it to work, you're most likely out of luck. I gave up months ago trying to get Octane to do anything more than basic materials. Which means I haven't used it to do any projects send Nov. 2016. Once in a while I stick my head in ...

Re: Particle Systems and Motion Blur
Apparently, after numerous complaints to my ISP, it turns out there was a network issue in my neighborhood (probably fallout from the hurricane). Here's my file if anyone is interested in testing potential solutions.
Thanks
James

Re: Particle Systems and Motion Blur
Subframe will take 5x longer than using Cycles. So that's not really an option.
I can't upload the blend file. its 35MBs and my ISP has throttled my uploads
Times out before I can complete the transfer.

Particle Systems and Motion Blur
Hi,
I'm trying to convert a cycles animation to octane, but the particles system looks awful. Does anyone know how to make the particles look realistic in Octane?
I've tried Global, Scatter, Movable, Reshapable, and As Is...none product realistic trails.

Re: gtx1080 much slower than my gtx670...?
I feel for you brother. I had the same thing happen. I spent nearly 2 years collecting (4) GTX-690's with liquid cooling, everything seemed fine...but I was in the position to upgrade to 4 gtx-980's (ti) thinking I'd knock it out of the park. Instead I got the exact same performance (albeit way less ...

Re: Fireflies and poor lighting help
Thanks, I tried all of them PMC, Path Trace, Direct Light, all different settings and hotpixel removal cranked up. The best solution I've found so far is "Cycles".
This was done with 500 samples. Pain in the butt reassigning the materials.
