It is the denoised light pass render elements we are after for post production. The denoised beauty is clean, but the light pass elements are not available as denoised, therefore not suitable for post production. Regards,

might be a silly question, but do you have the "update anim. geometry" unchecked?

Bug:
Octane Mix material with xref octane materials as inputs = max crash
as soon as you hook up the 1st xref material into the mix input slot, max crashes.

Seems it behaves differently between v3 and v4. We have investigated further and identified that the ”missing” displacement material geometry had displacement values of zero. works in v3 with value zero, but disappears in v4.

It appears displacement is not working. Objects with displacement materials disappear from render window if displacement is active.
Can anyone else confirm?
Worked fine in 3.x versions.

Just leaving an entry for anyone else with this issue.
We had the same issue with Win 10.
Wacom drivers caused the issue for us.

There were significant changes to the core of the max plugin between versions 1.9 to 2.24 and beyond. This means that by default octane 3 cannot read the materials from these old files.
There is a tool for conversion.
Look under the tools tab in the render window - there are checkboxes ...
