Re: Cloning onto an emitter not rendering properly in PV
I figured it out. I did a mograph cache on the cloner. That seems to get the particles to render in the picture viewer. Thanks!

Re: Cloning onto an emitter not rendering properly in PV
Hi Aoktar, I cached the particle emitter, but I'm still not getting the particles rendered in the picture viewer. Only the Octane live viewer. Any suggestions?
See attached screenshot. I have the emitter cached with an Octane Object tag, and an octane random color shader. Should they all be applied ...

Cloning onto an emitter not rendering properly in PV
Have an issue, and need some help as soon as possible (working on a deadline here):
I have an emitter that is emitting null objects. I have a cloner that is cloning an object onto the emitter nulls. The reason I'm doing this is because I want to use the C4D multishader and don't have time to learn ...

Re: Awkward... Maxon releases ProRender, essentially Octane
I've felt that way too Terry. However I will say I think Otoy is focusing more on real-time game engine rendering, with their announcement of being embedded into Unity. That feels like a better fit for them considering the work they've been doing on holographic rendering and Brigade. I could easily ...

Re: Akito eGPU + Macbook Pro 13" (2016)
Ok, well I pulled the trigger on a Bizon Box and it should be here this week. So i'll keep this thread updated with my findings.

Akito eGPU + Macbook Pro 13" (2016)
Anyone have experience using an eGPU with one of the latest Macbook Pros? I have a 13" 2016 Macbook pro with 4 USB C ports, and I'm considering moving over to and eGPU and running my GTX 1080Ti through TB3. Thoughts? Does something similar like this work currently with C4D + Octane?

Re: Bounced light grainy
That definitely helped! Thank you. Now i just need to optimize my scene to try and bring down the overall time to render per frame.

Bounced light grainy
Could anyone recommend how I can reduce the grain in this light that's being reflected from the glossy wooden floor? The rest of my scene cleans up really nicely, but this light is still an issue. I was hoping adaptive sampling would help with this, but it doesn't seem to do much for this render.

Re: Opening old Octane scene - exposure issues
The biggest issue I was having is that the lights in the scene (octane lights specifically) were blindingly blown out. I had to bring down both the power, and check some things like normalize and surface brightness for those lights. Seems like maybe the conversion should address those issues as well.
