Sounds like theyre more focused on thier OTOY cloud project ( http://www.brightsideofnews.com/news/20 ... tform.aspx ). Had more than two updates from thea render now on their cuda and cpu based engine since octanes 1.20 rollout.

used the photo as a texture imo (my definition of this). its what many of us do. geometry is what makes it 3d imo (canvas). Many films do this yet don't get questioned about alike.

and by the way: some people tend to take a "coming soon" for a given timespan of their taste also. and would tell their customers some real timespans if they ask for what "soon" means also. and would still be baffled if their expactation of what "soon" means not meets the reality.
