Displacement in 3.0

Hi Mate,

Just curious if Displacement is broken in 3.0, I'm just getting " *** OCTANE API MSG: This source doesn't contain any primitives!" when I try to render. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

Hi Mate,

You're correct, this is broken in general, not just with Octane. I usually use this a LOT, must just be in the 313 build. Never seen this before :)

Yep you're right DOPS seems to be working, it's FLIP that's not, sorry.

You may already know but just in case, exporting a preview out of Mplay as a Quicktime is broken.

Full reload mode for DOPS

Hi,

Was doing some DOPS stuff in Houdini and noticed the IPR wouldn't update with "FULL RELOAD" mode on (same for rendering) Just checking if this is meant to be the case or will it become something that updates like the regular transforms etc.

Bump not refreshing

Hi Guys,

Sorry if this has already been reported. In the Octane VOP if you add a bump texture then remove it the material won't refresh, I had to right click, add a null then delete it to force the refresh.

Thanks for the tip with the dirt shader.

I can get the gradient to crunch proc maps but only if I add additional keys which seems a bit strange, would be great if we could manipulate the values using the default 2 keys, slide them and remap without having to add keys which makes it hard to control ...
