Just cut and paste the octane plugin folder to somewhere else and put it back later.
I agree that this is a little annoying as I often have a renderjob to on my main workstation which occupies my octane license and still want to do some work with my laptop,
but I just cut and copy it outside the ...

Re: Texture baking blurry in 3.08RC3 compared to older releases
Can anyone confirm this or is it just me who has this issue? Or is it expected behavior? Maybe something has changed in the standalone texture filtering?
Cheers

Fireflies in RC3
Hello,
sorry to open another thread, but I have a problem with some fireflies since updating from test06 to rc3.
I get a lot of fireflies in a scene that worked without a problem before.
Unfortunately I can not share the scene because its proprietary CAD data, but its only lit with one white ...

Texture baking blurry in 3.08RC3 compared to older releases
Hello,
I am currently working on a large scale project where we have to bake a lot of textures, some of them fabrics.
When I updated from 3.08 test 6 to RC3, the baked textures come out more blurry.
Has anything changed that I did not notice, maybe a setting or something?
I have attached some ...

Re: Some POINTS in live viewer.
What are you using for your lightsource?
I would definately switch on adaptive sampling and maybe check if your lightsource is set up correctly (e.g. importance sampling enabled), I don't think you should have hot pixels like these with with GI clamp set to 1.

Re: Ocean animation
I have recently done a small water animation using the octane turbulence by animating the offset value, but that was no for an ocean but a small container. Might still be worth a try though. You could also try animating the UVW transfrom values. If you absolutlely want to animate that exact c4d ...

Re: Animating position of several scatter objects issue.
What you could try is to animate one of the values of your scatter objects just very slightly, like rotation on one axis. Try like 1 degree over the course of the whole animation, it won't be noticable but forces the scatter object to update. Atleast I remember doing this for an animation a while ...

Re: Ocean animation
Hmm I see, maybe you could use the octane nouse/turbulence with a UVW transform to get the size you want, that should work without visible tiling? This works for bump, if you need to displace the surface aswell you could then feed the noise into a baking texture.

Re: Ocean animation
Take a look at this:

I think there is a sample scene attached.
PS: I thought animating the c4d noise worked?
Best regards

Re: Render node options?
Hello,
I think one license used to be restricted to 12 GPUs, but if I recall correctly they upped it to 18 or 20. As long as your GPUs are connected to a single motherboard it should be considered as one PC, therefore requiring one license.
