Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.5

Hi coilbook,
It should be something like this, more or less, and then it can be adjusted as needed.

Anyway to get better vram usage. Parallels samples from 16 to 32 use like 2 gb of vram, AI light uses like 3-4 gb of vram. That's a lot of wasted ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.5

Please add AI powered hot pixel removal tool. Currently hot pixel removal tool does its job but blurs out the final image. Image doesn't look as sharp as far as tiny details. Thanks

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.5

Hi neonZorglub,
1. Here is the scene for slow eval times with tyflow. When you open it just try to render fram 190-250 It gets very slow. (I think Render instances in tyflow mesh even is not working. It renders as copies using a lot of vram)
Someone had the same problem with tyflow https ...

Re: TyFlow samples and tutorials

I got this reply from Tyson Ibele (tyFlow):
Either way, any requests need to be made to the Octane devs directly...they have my interface (same one used by VRay/RS/Corona/etc)...I don't have control over their actual implementation of it.

I'll try to explain in more detail what the problem is.

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.5

Hi neonZorglub,

Can you look into tyflow and slow eval times? Over 100,000 ty instanced little particles as low res spheres and eval times are 2-3 min per frame. But they are supposed to be instances.
Thank you

Hi coilbook,
Sure, I'll have a look.
Could you share a sample scene ?
That ...

Hi neonZorglub,

Can you look into tyflow and slow eval times? Over 100,000 ty instanced little particles as low res spheres and eval times are 2-3 min per frame. But they are supposed to be instances. Seems like octane runs out of vram when tyflwo particle count increases every frame

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.5

TYFlow slows down evaluation times and rendering, even if the tyFlow particles are not in the camera view. When you have around 10,000 tyFlow spheres as instances, the render time goes from 1 minute to 2 minutes. At the same time, iToo Forest can handle millions of instances, and it renders fast ...
