Hi,

is there anyway to add octane volume mesh as custom reference object inside tyflow?

Hi coilbook,

No, not currently. I'll ask the engine team for a future addition.
That would probably be using the 'Mesh volume SDF' type, and would also work for Vectron objects. but I'm not sure if that ...

coilbook wrote: Thu Jan 05, 2023 8:19 pm Hi,
Can you please add an option where we can add Multi/Sub-Obj to your mix material. It's useful to quickly coat them with dust, etc. Right now we have to add a layer of dust per material Thanks
Was this ever added by any chance?

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.7 - 3dsMax 2027 support

There is a bug. When the scene is reopened octane auto adds xyz to uvw to projection. If you clear projection to none and reopen the scene it will go back to xyz
Texture wood> Amount> input B > Projection

The scene is attached.

Hi coilbook,
Thank you for your scene.

It might comes from ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.7 - 3dsMax 2027 support

For instance, it seems all these do the same and it gets confusing what must be adjusted

Hi coilbook,

Thank you for your sample scene!

Sorry if all those Standard Volume Medium settings can be confusing.. I'm not too sure how it works in detail, but it should be the same as in Stand Alone ...
