If you read through the thread you'll see that some ppl are getting better performance from 197.45 drivers, but for me that wasn't the case.madelgado wrote:Hi,
The last driver for my nvidia GTX 285 in Windows 7 x64bits is this: 258.96 WHQL
Is good for Octane? This driver have Cuda 3.1

most people get best multi-gpu results with SLI off (ALWAYS), and physx on, others the same but with physx off.

Re: What nVidia drivers are you using?
Up dated to the 215.21 WHQL drivers and no changes, still at 17.7 ... arg
EDIT: Just noticed that it makes no difference leaving the PhysX setting on auto or CPU - With SLI enabled it drops to about 12 either way

Re: What nVidia drivers are you using?
Im using a GTX480 and getting about 9 megasamples on the bench scene which is even slower than 9.8 using the 257.15 beta drivers. I wonder why mine is slower, can mobo/cpu/psu make a difference?
Don't feel bad; my dual GTX 480 (SLI & physx disabled) rig is getting 17.7 megasamples/sec for a total ...

Re: What nVidia drivers are you using?
speaking of the new 257.xx drivers are they solely for the new fermi cards? Because on the nVidia page I never see them for my 285gtx.
My understanding is that they are for all GeForce cards; I just re-installed them and is now working fine. Best feature that I can see (so far) is you can use ...

What nVidia drivers are you using?
I tried the 257 beta drivers, (Win 7 x64 Ultimate) but Octane would not start, I dropped back to the 197.45 to play it safe. What's everyone else currently using?

Re: Beta 2.2 RC1: 3Ds Max plugin testing thread
Thanks, that's better. One thing though; I'm guessing that it's not supposed to be upside-down when it comes into Octane?these export scripts only work with 2.2 versions, grab the 2.2 RC3 from the release candidates forum...
