Any update on this?
I'm struggling to get this to work as well.
I understand Octane needs to get information that something is changing and doesn't see the animated noise as a parameter that communicates a change. Apparently we can work around this by adding keyframes to the material.

The multishader was working (in v2.24.0 R1 at least)
I'm playing around with the alpha build of 3.00 (3.01) and noticed the multishader is not working anymore. Is that planned to be implemented again in 3.00 ? Or did something change in the renderer that this is not possible anymore?

What you are seeing here are artefacts of how Octane converts the RGB colours to a spectrum and back. The color coming back for the light source is not exactly red, but it will be slightly more magenta or yellow. And since the light source is much brighter than the maximum brightness displayed in ...

I'm working on an animation and getting weird texture artifacts on Octane shaders. I'm using a simple diffuse material. If I switch render mode to directlightning or PMC the artifacts are not there.

I did some more testing today.
It seems like a version problem indeed.
It does work in R15 (15.008), doesn't work in R16 (both 16.0720 and 16.050).
What version of C4D are you using?
