Re: The passage
This is awesome man. Love the lighting and colours. Did you use a HDR for the lighting?

Displacements + Bump
Hi guys,
I've read somewhere that displacements won't work in conjunction with bump mapping. I looked in the manual but couldn't find anything on this.
What is the current situation? Is Octane still able to use both bump and displacement maps together?
Thanks!

Re: Real World Equivalent Focal Lengths
Thanks Paul.
Any chance of incorporating a tool that would do that for us inside of octane?

Re: Real World Equivalent Focal Lengths
Hi Paul,
Thanks for your response.
Basically I need to render shots that fit the same FOV as my real world camera lens.
So say if I shot a plate at 35mm FOV, I need to get Octane's camera to the exact same FOV for things to look "matched".
I don't think this has anything to do with aperture ...

Real World Equivalent Focal Lengths
Hi guys,
Is there a way you guys achieve real world equivalent focal lengths using Octane?
In other 3D apps, there is usually a focal length measurement available, but with Octane it's just a floating point number scale.
I'm wondering because I do a lot of photography footage compositing. Any ...

Is a Slow Viewport Normal?
Hi guys,
I'm on the edge of purchasing Octane here but there is one thing holding me back.
Is it normal to have a super laggy viewport? I've downloaded the test scenes and most of them are pretty fast/smooth to navigate except the "hallway" scene. When the render kicks into action, everything on ...

Demo Octane - No Render Preview
Hi guys,
I'm new here and i've just downloaded the osx version of Octane standalone.
Installed the cuda drivers and Octane itself. Checked Octane's pref's and it says that the card is recognised (Geforce 650M).
Downloaded the test scenes and opened up. The screen remains greyed out. Tried ...
