Re: Emitter behavior
Reducing of the Ray Epsilon has solved the problem! :D
The smaller the Ray Epsilon the brighter it gets but then moving the panel closer to the wall dims the light again. It's a tricky adjustment as you have 3 different parameters (the emitter power, the emitter to wall distance and the Ray ...

Re: Emitter behavior
I'm using the Path Tracing. I tried the PMC also but the result was the same.
Thanks,

Emitter behavior
I'm trying to achieve the halo effect behind a panel located a few inches from a wall by assigning the Octane whiteemitter to the back side surface of the panel facing the wall. For some reason the emitter starts to dim as the panel gets close to the wall. As you can see in the attached image, the ...

Re: Images through glass window get deformed
Yes, I tweaked the rayepsilon parameter and found a sweet spot that fixed the geometry!! :D
I had no idea what the heck rayepsilon was but it worked. It doesn't look like the same value always work for every view. You have to tweak it every time you find funny geometry. Smoothing was turned ...

Re: Images through glass window get deformed
This particular skylight is a GDL object I downloaded from a manufacturer. The glass opening consists of 3 layers of glass pane, each has 1/4" thickness. I thought the refraction was caused by these overlapped multiple glass layers, so I converted the GDL object to morph elements and removed the 2 ...

Images through glass window get deformed
Hi,
It seems that Octane causes odd unrealistic refraction to glass and the image coming through the window gets deformed. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks,
