Re: Octane Texture Manager buggy?

In my case- being new-ish to C4D- I think I was just using the tools in the wrong sequence.
IF I first change paths in Project Asset Inspector - and see that all are present- then use Octane Texture Manager.
On Windows first using PAI- this transfers/populates OTM.
On Mac- It does not populate OTM ...

Re: Octane Texture Manager buggy?

I find that using the texture manager is extremely tedious and there's abnormal long wait time when shifting around the inputs.
Also seeing this behavior. Very painful, especially in a mixed os environment.

Kernel Overide

Hi Paul,
With the Octane License changing to Studio+ there comes an issue with being able to use versions previous to 2022. We use Modo and C4D.
In C4D there is a kernel compatibility over ride that allows the user to set the kernel to behave as the previous versions.
We are stuck on 2020.1.5, 2021 ...

Re: octane_render_utils_lua

EDIT: I just had a look at your script. It would have been better to just write a script from scratch using only functionality from our Lua API instead of taking an older batch render script and then ripping out all the GUI stuff and then hacking the rest to try to make it work something totally ...

Re: octane_render_utils_lua

I find no trace of this in any installed folders- Where is it?

I can't solve if I cant see line 200 or whatever it may be- has to be a way to print or dump these utils

I have found a solve for this. From the research entailed in the quest, and from the @jobigoud clue- octaneRenderUtil must ...

It is inside the engine and loaded by it. It's not a separate file.
Do you have a particular error?

Re: octane_render_utils_lua

Hi,
it should be shared by Thinkbox Deadline directly, not by us.

Anyway, please try with the following LUA script for AWS Thinkbox:

ciao,
Beppe

Thank You for the response. AWS does supply a version of the cmdbatch as you have shared here ...

octane_render_utils_lua

This script is called a require in batch render script- And in working with AWS Deadline- They claim it ships with Octane.
I find no trace of this in any installed folders- Where is it?- Where can I get a copy of it?

Re: Cinema4D version 2021.1.5-(R3) (Stable 2021) 02.06.2022

I am seeing this Store Render Buffer issue across multiple machines. And multiple "recent" versions of c4d-octane-nvidia - real mystery at this point- but it is happening here. Still digging on it.
./rrb

No OSL - Nor AI Up sample in jobs.
./rrb

I have not had success deleting saved buffer. Two ...
