Sometimes z-depth renders out as solid white and sometimes it renders out fine. I can't figure out what I'm doing in one file that's making it work/not work.
The really odd thing is that the z-depth shows up looking totally fine in the octane render view.

Proximal shader not working correctly

I haven't tested it recently, but last time I checked you couldn't render a sequence with directory names "ie: directory/directory/filename.exr" unless the directories were already created. Other render engines will just create the directory if needed, but Octane just chugs along through the render ...

As an interim fix - just hold CTRL and click drag on the number values to get a "slider".

Colored lights
I'd love to be able to set the lights to specific colors as opposed to just color temperature. For instance, if I want to light a scene with blue light right now, the color temperature doesn't really go beyond blue-ish to a really saturated blue color.

Octane is now an R&D render engine for our studio even though it used to be a production render engine, and one of the big reasons is how different the support is from other renderer engines. For instance, we've never had a post on the Redshift forum that didn't get answered.

You're not the only one, Object ID doesn't produce different colors for different objects. It's one of a few of the render passes that don't work.

Speaking of things broken for a long time - what's the deal with Octane "Render layers"? You know, the thing at the way bottom of the OctaneRender Settings tab.

1) Since this update I can't seem to apply textures to materials without getting an error "// Error: Line 1.18: Syntax error"
