Thanks for the heads up Markus, all very useful and interesting stuff. I will quit while I'm ahead with my setups!

Re: Mac Pro 5,1 - Can i run 6 GTX Nvidia?
I haven't had much success with riser cards in Macs, after installation my Mac Pro Tower 5,1 just didn't see the cards. Has anybody else got them to work?

This is the effect I'm after:

Sorry, I'm still failing to see how I can set this up!
I guess what I need is a way of using a normal to control the opacity...

Re: Dust
Ciao bepeg4d!
Thanks very much for your time with this. Thanks to you I have discovered what the Sine Wave texture generator does! However, I am having trouble assigning a suitable transform to my model, I get the effect on a primitive but not for my model. Would it be possible for you to PM me ...

Dust
Hi
I'm trying to create a dust effect, where a diffuse material lies on top of an object. In non-octane world I go to my C4d material Alpha>Texture and apply a Falloff gradient in the y direction, hey presto I have dust settling on the top of my object.
How would I do this with an Octane mix ...

Re: Rotating ies lights......
I'm struggling with the same thing, I have the IES image texture loaded and a spherical projection, but can't for the life of me find the transform node of which you speak. Please (ahem) throw some light on it for me!
