I use Carrara because it really shines as a smart and super-intuitive 3D application.
Thank you for producing such a tightly integrated plugin in the same spirit.

Re: OctaneRender for Carrara 4.00.00.00[Stable and Test]
Hi Simon,
Dumb question, but does this version work as a side-by-side version to 3.08? Can I use both on my system?
Best wishes,
Thomas

Shading variations after upgrade to Version 3
Finally afforded the upgrade and installed 3.08.00.39 plugin with the 3_07 standalone.
Projects I created with Version 2 are rendering significantly different with Version 3. It looks like the Specularity is unevenly applied or just a bug of some sort.
I checked the update notes and noticed there ...

Re: Render Contrast and Color Accuracy
Having the same problem with 3ds Max - its not a gamma issue, the difference is too subtle but still noticable; the saved frame is missing a bit of contrast and color dynamic.
This issue might be a color profile hanging around after the display device is changed.

Re: Render Contrast and Color Accuracy
There shouldn't be a difference - what format are you using to save the file? It sounds like it could be a gamma issue, but this shouldn't really be an issue with saved files.
This issue may have had something to do with a display upgrade.

Render Contrast and Color Accuracy
Howdy!
I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to get the file saved by (Octane-plugin) to look like the preview window. So far everything I've tried gives me a washed out lower contrast product in the output file.
Is there a proper way to approach this?

Re: OctaneRender for Carrara 2.24.0081 [RC-1]
The problem is that is it worth buying this plugin considering the dark future of Carrara? Is it better to rather invest in the plugin for DAZ Studio as this program will certainly continue to be developed by DAZ? Nevertheless you have done an excellent job for Carrara. In these conditions, it is ...
