Re: NEW: Octane X - is finally here! [MEGA FAQ THREAD]

Rendering the procedural Chess Scene, RenderTarget PT, my Mac Studio with M1 Ultra (64-core GPU) came in at 22 seconds and my MacBook Pro M2 Max (plugged into power) rendered it in 28 seconds. This is odd, as the M1 Ultra's were benchmarking at 15 seconds earlier in this forum. Why would they now be ...

Re: Version 2.00.xx - test version

I'd very interested in this AE plugin, more so then the Cinema 4D plugin. I primarily do motion graphics work and use Element 3D a lot for it's speed working directly inside of AE. Of course there are massive limitations like no shadows/reflections, GI. Depending on the speed of interactivity with ...

Re: Version 2.00.xx - fixed download

Cool. Thanks to all guys for interest and comprehension. I'll need some time to fix current/reported problems.

2.0 will get some updates for Render Passes. Currently i have a development version with all needed passes. I heard the volumetrics will be targetted in some time period.

Also, i'll ...

Re: Octane Render 2.0 for Cinema 4D previews

no, he is talking about of the ability to use all the gpu in a lan with one mac directly in live viewer, even if those gpus are in a windows box ;)
ciao beppe

If this is the case I might have to buy myself that new non-cuda Mac Pro after all. Can you tell us anymore about how this would work ...

Limit Reflections to certain objects

Would I be right to assume that limiting reflections to certain objects would not be possible? See the attached photo how the black reflection floor reflections the Logo but doesn't reflect the HDRI environment. In Cinema 4D you can do that through the compositing tag. Does this feature not carry ...

Re: Version 1.52.1 (Octane Render 1.52) *** 10.04.2014 ***

I re-installed an older version, 1.2, to show you before and after pictures. Then after re-installing 1.52 the issue seems to have fixed itself. Odd, but works for me.

I'm not getting any reflections working in this version. Is this an issue for anyone else?

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: See the future of OctaneRender at the NVIDIA 2014 GPU Technology Conference tomorrow!

What, an After Effects plugin?? You make me so happy.

I've long thought about the future of 3D in AE, and the seemingly tough limitation to bypass it is the fact that AE doesn't progressively refine a single frame, but only displays the rendered result after it is completely finished. So how will ...
