I got my live DB working in maya. Thanks for your help TBFX!

It looks like my octane live account name and password hadn't been saved in the render setting preferences between reboots so it was putting me in offline mode. Sometimes it helps to look at the script editor!

Thanks TBFX, that changes my error code. Now it says LiveDB is refreshing swatches and hangs there after refreshing it. Are there any other nifty buttons I can press to fix that one too :D

Live Database connection through maya

I have a warning that says LiveDB was disabled in my Maya scene settings. Where do I enable those settings? Thanks!

The live DB connects in my standalone version. I am probably making a really simple mistake and missed something obvious in the documentation.

Blender Cycles can do instancing in gpu and it opens up the possibility of having billions of polygons in a scene (if I understand it right).

I like octane a lot more than cycles as it is so much faster and easy to use for rendering though ...

Wow! The texturing is awesome. Is there any way you could post some of your texture maps for the weathered metal? Not the whole thing and even low resolution would be fine, I just want to learn how you do such amazing textures!

So as far as I can tell there are about 8 materials for v4's eyes. I keep forgetting what they do, so if you have any insights let me know. The Cornea, Iris and Sclera give me the most trouble.

EyeSurface - Seems to be the main image but if so why are there duplicates of the cornea, iris and so ...
