Re: OCTANE TO VR
I made with Octane a 180 stereo short movie (+ the song), compiled it to an app and sent it trough Oculus submission process for GearVR and Oculus Go. It got finally approved after all the security and functional features were cleared, but only for "Keys Only", which means, my app is now "under the ...

Re: AlterNative Current for GearVR
To use the code, open your Gear VR store app in your phone. Bottom right corner are the settings, there is an option to "redeem code". Throw the code in and it will start downloading and installing. App is perfectly safe and has gone through all Oculus safety measures and checklists. After the app ...

AlterNative Current for GearVR
Okay folks,
I got the app made. The premise was to make a Gear VR store compliant app for this AlterNative Current 180 stereo video, or just to learn the process, get it to the store with minimum fee and get some feedback from the normie VR users. If that would have been positive, I would have ...

Some app building advice needed..
Hi,
I have made a bit over five minute VR short movie (180 stereo), all rendered with Octane.
I would like to submit this to the Oculus store for review and possible release. Now, in order to do this, I need to create an app for this video so that it could be submitted. This is where my expertise ...

Re: Octane v4
no fear Sylvian,
the free plug in versions are limited to 2 GPU`s.
this is a kind of marketing campaign. every dealer will tell you that the first time is free. ;)
and if these users use octane first then they want more computing power.
and then you have to buy the full version like ...

Re: LightWave 2018 is coming ;)
Since I've been using Octane almost exclusively since in became available for LW I've only enver used octane surfacing nodes and I love it. Activating VPR is now an accident when it happens.
With LW 2018 surfacing being PBR now I am starting to get confused about which render engine I should be ...

Re: LightWave 2018 is coming ;)
Thanks Juanjo. That is sufficient answer to me. I can now close up my future plans as a solid premise.
I'll stick with LW for as long as I make "traditional" cgi / VFX prior to making a permanent shift to Unity3D or UE4. At that point I'll go with Houdini 3D.
That's about a five year plan ahead.

Re: LightWave 2018 is coming ;)
Juanjo, buddy, now that the curtain has been lifted, and you are presumably able to talk about LW2018, can you speak at all about the SDK, and if LW3DG has even touched that?.. I know that dang thing has been the bane of your LW plug development, and I for one would really, really love to know your ...
