Re: Octane 2026.2 for Cinema4D - v1.8.3

Also the converter sets diffuse BRDF model to Octane instead to Lambertian when converting.

2. What about Octane scatter improvements?

Re: Octane 2026.1 for Cinema4D - v1.8

New texture displacement renders 8-10 times longer compared to old one. Also There is height difference in old and new displacement with the same texture.

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.1 [current 2026]

Texture displacement at "high quality" mode is still not usable. Viewport is slow and renders 10 or more times slower compared to normal mode. Switching the texture size to 16k makes the viewport to freeze.

Re: Octane 2027 Roadmap and Beyond

These features look impressive! Thanks for sharing the roadmap.

Any chances you go back to current tools and improve them as well especially:
- scattering needs improvements in usability, object limit needs to be increased and vertex map support is needed,
- a dedicated quick denoising enabler is ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.1 Beta 2 [current 2026]

"Normal" is the old texture displacement.

Normal does not do anything in Beta 2 build. Are there any additional steps to make it work?

The "normal" quality (old texture displacement) only works with image nodes (or baking texture). If you still can't get it to working, please provide a ...
