Hello guys,
The new displacement is completely broken when used in conjunction with a normal or bump map. Please see attached. It completely breaks the UV's
Please can this be looked at?
For landscapes, using mix material this will be super important, and means we will need to use the old ...

Re: Memory stats display issue
There are images info to be corrected too:
- RGB 32/64 should be written instead of Rgb32/64
- Grayscale 8/16 instead of Grey8/16

Re: Octane 2026.1 for Cinema4D - v1.8

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.1 [current 2026]
Texture displacement at "high quality" mode is still not usable. Viewport is slow and renders 10 or more times slower compared to normal mode. Switching the texture size to 16k makes the viewport to freeze.

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.1 Beta 2 [current 2026]

The "normal" quality (old texture displacement) only works with image nodes (or baking texture). If you still can't get it to working, please provide a ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.1 Beta 2 [current 2026]
Hi,
thanks for the new build.
I've tried new displacement and there are few issues:
- there is no old texture displacement
- viewport performance very bad eg. a mesh with displacement renders with 3 fps and without 40fps
- rendering performance is 4 times slower with displacement enabled
- when ...
