Hi beppe,
thanks for your reply. I will give the vector/subpolygon displacement a shot.
But for the voxel displacement:
I tried subdividing the plane before and used a height map instead of a procedural texture. But the outcome was the same. Is there a way to avoid these cracks in the geo other than ...

Octane Displacement Issue
Hello,
i recently noticed some holes in the geometry, which is created by the octane displacement. The holes are moslty visible on the faces, which are perpendicular to the eye and are greater the lower the resolution of the displacement map is. The wholes begin to disappear, when you turn up the ...

Re: R19/C4D-V3.07-Test3a-win - not writing frames to disk
We have the same issue with R19 and 3.07 TEST 3 (3070002)
Images render, but are not written to any - and I mean any - disk.
Only workaround seems to be enabling the standard C4D save dialogue.
Was there an API change in R19 maybe?
Best regards,
Paul

Re: ODS render out of Octane?
Are there any news on this? Is octane's panoramic / stereoscopic setting maybe outputting these ods-images by default if both settings are activated?

Re: Version 3.06.2 - Latest stable
Hi aoktar,
We've disassembled the buggy scene and found a solution, but I'm still trying to figure out what the actual problem was.
There was an animated texture with a frame range from 812K to 812K. Maybe this was causing the memory leak. The strange thing is that this texture wasnt applied to any ...

Re: Version 3.06.2 - Latest stable
Hi aoktar,
Will try to narrow that down, but I dont think this will lead anywhere,
because the renders fail randomly .
It happens that the exact same client finishes the exact same job when restarted.
I will get back to you with a hopefully smaller but still buggy scene :)
Thanks for time ...

Hi aoktar!
Just static & skinned & pla-animated meshes with shaders and lots of textures plus a scatter object.
Octanes GPU stats say the scene consumes about 3.2 GB of GPU RAM, which should be perfectly ok for our render slaves - and worked in the past.

Hi niestudio,
What about ticking off "Save Beauty" in the render settings?
Best regards,

Hi aoktar,
we're running into a serious problem with 3.06. Is there anything known about such a bug?
