I downloaded the Standalone Octane Render Enterprise 2020.1 RC1 and the OctaneRender_for_Modo_2020_1_0_157_ENTERPRISE pluguin. Both versions render slower with RTX than without RTX activated.
Anyone knows how this is possible?
Could it be that it doesn't work with existing files? That the scene ...

Re: Scene crashes because of RAM
Thanks for the fast reply!
There seems to be a problem indeed with the .lxo
I changed the maximum vertices to about 3 million, a little more than the heaviest mesh, I get a notification that there are too many vertices but I can still render and my RAM usage Halved. Thanks!

Scene crashes because of RAM
I am having trouble with an scene. The file is 5.3 million polys (normally I have no trouble with those numbers...) and keeps crashing when rendering, or even it doesn't load into Octane because of insufficient RAM >maximum vertices issue.

Sunlight test
Hi there it's been some time since i've had the time to render something, but i just wanted to test the sunlight on the new render kernel. It's an old scene i know, maybe i'll have some time now to work on 3D again.
This render was a test so there is still quite some noise. I've rendered it at ...

Re: Exterior in Norway
I like it very much it's snowy but it still has a warm light. Good work.
The only thing i would change is to include the little last bit of building that doesn't fit on the photo.

Re: BATHROOM..PLEASE HELP
Try to lower the bounces on the pathtracing to 7 or 8 and try to render using glossy materials as less as possible. For example I get a lot of hot pixels if i use a complex mesh for light emitting and/or if i use a reflective material on the fixture.
