Re: [SOLVED] Octane for Blender Plugin: Animation doesn't work

I figured out what the problem is:

The animations with the Octane plugin don't work, when an object is linked in the scene from another blend-file!

Some how the OctaneServer can't refresh the scene, when you have linked in objects!

Hope it helps

Cheers

Re: OctaneRender™ for Blender 1.53 - 4.9 beta Linux [TEST]

Hi JimStar,

the rotation can or even has to be managed over a transformation node in the node editor:

Or are you just missing it in the place directly in the panel you showed?

Re: OctaneRender™ for Blender 1.53 - 4.9 beta Linux [TEST]

Still don't get it :(
Tomorrow I'll dive a little deeper into all that library stuff. I think it's useless to try to do something that I don't realy understand.
I'll let you know when it worked for me...

Octane for Blender Plugin: Passes and Layers

Hallo together,

I've a few questions about the render passes and the usage of render layers in blender using the octane plugin:

1. Mist Pass:
Is there any way to use the mist pass at all? Usually (in cycles and blender render) you have to setup the distance and borders of the mist in the "world ...

Re: NEW : The OctaneBench competition

The Dropbox crossed my mind too, and would be ok for me. But I think there has to be a solution that works without compeling the participants to creat some kind of account elsewhere :-/

Re: NEW : The OctaneBench competition

One more thing: in order to declare the winner, we need to verify if the file size and rendertime of the scenes meets the competition rules. Could all participants to the competition email their scene to [email protected] (subject "OctaneBench competition entry") by 1 October midnight CET ...
