Gradient map (like the default 3ds)
I want to create animated gradient maps with octane with fractal and turbulence (same as how 3ds default) to simulate something burning away for use in my compositing package. It seems to me there is nothing within the Octane maps to accomplish this? I have been having to do this with mental ray ...

Re: Reverting to older plugin
Octane V3. I went from render engine 3.03_4 to 3.05.3 and 3ds max plugin version 3.03.4-4.19 to 3.05.3 - 4.30 and then back.
It appears it effected my scene scales which is why every scene was overexposed. There also seems to be a change in blackbody texture maps in self illumination. I have ...

Reverting to older plugin
I recently upgraded to the latest builds of the 3ds plugins and octane render. I had to open some scenes and rerender a few frames from each and noticed the rendering looked different with the upgrades. I reverted back to my older versions of the plugins (dates around October 2016) and they still ...

Re: GTX 1080 no compatible with OCTANE V3!??
You got to be kidding me. I just updated my entire render farm with 1080's to render with octane and now it's useless??

Re: test scene
Thats it. Check vertex motion blur. Guess I figured to have motion blur and object blur checked would be enough, but that worked. Thanks!

test scene
I have a very simple animation that I used to try motion blur on two different machines running the latest octane. For the life of me I cannot get motion blur to work. Can somebody look at this scene and tell me if the ball is giving you motion blur? I have checked motion blur in octane panel and ...

Test scene to test
So I am unable to get motion blur to work in 3ds 2015 with latest plugins. I have tried everything. Would some nice person send me a simple test scene that they have motion blur working so I can test and make sure it's not a bug? Thanks!

Re: OCTANE 2.X Needed Features
How about Free Network Rendering for v2!! Having to buy a full license for each slave is ridiculous!
+1 for me. I had to buy two additional seats and plugins just for rendering. I love octane but I think this may be the only render engine requiring full seat purchases for network rendering. This ...
