Feature request: Skip existing frames when rendering

Hæ guys

It would be really good to be able to skip existing frames when rendering a turntable from Octane Standalone .

I don't know if this is going to be a moot request if you're reworking animation system within the standalone product, but it would be very nice in the interim so that we can ...

Re: Feature Request: Custom Apertures (Bokeh)!

Also if you've seen the film Scott Pilgrim vs The World, there is some excellent usage of custom bokeh's, when Scott is talking to Ramona on the bus the shapes change depending on the subject - beautifully done and this is from a very experienced director of photography http://www.imdb.com/name ...

Geforce GTX550 Ti and OSX

Hey guys,

I have a mid 2010 Mac Pro and thanks to some new drivers from nvidia the ability to use a "PC" class card in this case the GTX 550 Ti . I am running 3dsmax 2012 on Windows 7 through Parallels in OSX .

My problem is Octane doesn't seem to recognise the nvidia card . Predictably I can't ...

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v1.0 beta 2.57[NEW/CURRENT]

This is amazing !

as a compositor the additional render channels are exactly what I need so, having surface normals, position and zdepth etc is superb .

You are probably aware that trying to save these channels within an .exr appear to be corrupted . But if I understand correctly this is because ...

Re: Beta 2.2 RC1: 3Ds Max plugin testing thread

In addition would you not have a situation where converting a camera type from free to target could *possibly* change the camera position and and subject ?

As for the motion blur, that's cool - my objects are animated by dummys so that could possibly be baked down but I was curious . As for doing ...

Re: Beta 2.2 RC1: 3Ds Max plugin testing thread

I'm sorry if someone has mentioned this already or it has been mentioned as a known issue .

I have what appears to be a reproducible bug at least on my machine and scene where the Max2Octane exporter fails with an error:

--Unknown property: "pos" in undefined

This happens in my scene when I have ...

Re: Beta 2.2 RC1: 3Ds Max plugin testing thread

now though, I guess we'll have to wait for a new Octane build, because current is not that useable... it takes ages to close, uneven lighting... ahrm...

Really ? 2.2 works as well as 2.1 did on my system... lighting seems pretty even (at least with an hdr) and it closes almost instantly even with ...
