Thanks a lot for the update. Where can I see the cuda link for this release? I checked preferences and it says 0 driver cuda installed, maybe that's the reason why I can't see anything in the preview/viewport? awesome explanation and thanks for the links kubo. i do hope also that i can replaced vray by octane but i guess i have to upgrade my pc first
looking at radiance processor made me decide to purchased the beta though

thanks for the replies radiance and kubo.
proxy like vray proxy. it is different from instances i guess because it lessen the number of poly's and vertices. i really hope radiance will find a way to make octane compatible to vray.

Is it possible to convert proxy objects to .obj file or have it included in .obj file? If it is... how does the material editor in Octane works?

Cool! Do I need to have the materials attached to the object or I can attach a fresh material in octane? same goes with the lights? darn... wish i don't have to work overtime to lay my hand on octane tonight:( where can i see the tutorial of preparing materials and lighting in octane?

Thanks Radiance. How about if I want to modify the materials in the obj file being opened in octane? Is it possible to make modifications inside octane or do i need to go back to the host application, modify and update my material then reopened it again in octane?

Yup. It's getting more clearer now. Octane is not compatible with Vray.
