Im working in 3dsmax and main render for me its Vray and second mentalRay.
Kubo, good idea. May be i`ll use Octan to render some animation.

Yes. Some scaner can scan textures to. But anyway its need to much hand work. =\

Hi.
This it my little with list:
1. Alfa channel
2. Falloff map - to use it as mask or control reflections.
3. Dirt/Ambient occlusion map (and dont tell me you can do it via Global Illum - its not that!) - to mix other maps or collors.
4. fixed nodes UI - nodes still can be moved out of screen ...

DayVids: you right - CA its no good for Photos, but its no problem to remove it in Photoshop or Raw convertor.
