Is that the same code that you're running for that test Radiance?

If so, surely the code would be optimised for the parallel computing power of the gpu, correct? Not saying there's anything wrong with that, I'm thinking of converting some of the Digital Fusion plugins I wrote to use CUDA as you get ...

Yes, I'm excited about 2.3 as well, although I'm not sure why, as I probably won't use it much...lol

I have a lowly 9800GT with 512Mb ram, which is not a lot of memory you can imagine. I have 8Gb in my system, which is enough for my big images in non-GPU rendering though :)

I also think this test wasn't meant to discredit Octane, why would they? I think from a technological point of view he is absolutely right in saying that currently the best way to get the maximum horsepower in any given pc is to ...

In my opinion a big important feature that is missing for people who do not have expensive graphics cards is tiled rendering so we can use less ram.
