Do yu have an idea Karba ?
You are out of GPU memory.
so i have to use 6gb gpu gtx 780 6gb or titan black
or untill then you can try to optimise your scene, smaller textures (resize big ones), less geometry, instance, and find out what is eating up 1gb of your video ram ...

I see this problem a lot on the forum, instead of render failed, can there be an error like "Out of Memory" or something ? so users know why their render is failing.

are you able to change parameters to scatter in real time without the need of restart the render ?
my most pain in octane right now is converting hundreds of materials from libraries, i spend more time with materials than with the render, that is wy i decided to go and use corona with ...

Hi Karba,
here is an interview with Juraj Talcik and Adam Hotovy, please watch it and find out what was the feature that allowed Juraj Talcik to switch his workflow from vray to corona.
This feature needs more attention because is verry old, it needs contstant updates.

you can mix 2 materials, and mix another material with the mixed material.

easy,
just use the texture file from my previous post and put it in the roughness slot (glossy material), make the diffuse slot a dark color.
i also used the same texture (inverted) to add bump.
