Re: Octane doesn't refresh light transforms
Select the lights shape node and in the extra attr. section change the global to movable proxy. You can now move the lights and the IPR will update. This is also the case when you want to interactively move objects as well

Re: Light Exclusion?
I use black flags (simple plane) just like the real world photography.
Render Layers with light/object ID's can also bu used but requires Layer matte and compositing.

Re: Best Way to Create Matte in Octane for Maya?
Ok I have tried to come up with pure BW solution. I have setup a simple scene with 2 objects. Assigned second object with Layer ID 2 . Enabled render layers. Rendered Layer 1 with Layer Mask pass. And the result is pure BW.

Octane RenderView
Hello,
Take a look at the new Arnold Render view, it would fit much better to Octane Render while it is much faster and interactive tool than the Arnold Renderer. How many times have I tried to select something from Render View window and realized I could not. Or tried to move the camera around ...

Every Maya Camera have all the octane settings automatically. I have never used Octane Camera, In fact I have realized there is an Octane Camera button after reading your question

Re: Maya Batch vs Single Frame Conform?
Some software can not handle multi channel EXR file
New plug-in defaults to composite exr file. Try disabling "Save composite EXR file" in the render settings.

Thin Glass Render
Hello,
There is a little feature missing in the specular shader that keeps bugging me for some time. (or maybe I don't know how to do it)
Example: I try to render a car model which I have bought. I use a simple specular shader for the windshield, nothing fancy.
