Re: DX2000USB
Hmm didn't think of making it part of a scene originally but it'd be nicer to put it in some sort of enviroment if I can think one up.

Re: One Overcast Day.
It looks really good, the building looks great and stands out well.
Some minor comments:
• Shouldn't the street lights be on considering the darkness?
• The size of the car appears to be the height as the entrance to the building? (its a big car granted but not that big lol)
• Too clean even for ...

Re: NEW GRAPHICS CARD
Hmm.. The passmark site shows a GTX580 being quicker than a GTX590 which makes no sense unless the application is not taking advantage of the 590's dual gpu setup (which is 2x GTX580's underclocked slightly).
Nice comparison tehfailsafe, the dual 470's actually work out a cheaper buy than the ...

Re: NEW GRAPHICS CARD
Ah, I've got a couple of places near me I can pickup from. Very handy.
I'm pretty sure the Intel system will run quicker than the AMD system and its the latest intel socket type too so if you wanna upgrade to an unlocked quad core system for example you can. 8-)

Re: NEW GRAPHICS CARD
Nice find!
Depends if you get the 2GB model of the 460 though.
Scan's a few quid cheaper still:

And you get Farcry 2 for free*

Re: NEW GRAPHICS CARD
Adding a second 210 to your system wont help your render times and will bring down your available GPU ram in octane to 512mb.
Although for $10 you could always get a second to add to another system you have or could build in the future as its a steal.
Currently toying around with some spec's ...

Re: NEW GRAPHICS CARD
Does that exclude the GTX460 I take it?
Whats the rest of your system & specs your after?
You shouldn't need an really exotic motherboard as here are a few with dual PCIe slots.
The new Intel Sandybridge chips are rather good but if you prefer AMD there should be no trouble either.
