Re: Is there a way to convert a obj into a Vectron

You can use a "Mesh volume SDF" node to convert an OBJ to a signed distance field. Then you can combine this with vectron primitives or other SDF objects with the union/subtraction/ink, etc. operators.

Hi I think I got it. It seems it might have been the original model I was trying to use.
Does ...

Re: OctaneRender 2025 for Poser [TEST and STABLE]

What is the version number of the plugin that you are using please?

2025.1.0.127.
I think I solved the problem. I tried other old projects and was having the same issue. But one happened to not have that same issue. So I exported the render target settings and applied it to the newer scene. And ...

The backplate only shows where there is no geometry. Is it possible you have the ground plane enabled?

Paul
No, I even deleted it. Same issue

Re: OctaneRender 2025 for Poser [TEST and STABLE]

Hey Paul, having an issue. It seems the the back plane is showing just black and the rendering window.
I switch it from planetary or to texture. And the background is still black.

Using Vectron tutorials for standalone

Hi, I'm looking for a resource to show me how to use Vectron features in octane Standalone itself.
All the tutorials I see are utilizing the plugins. But I am looking for a Learning Resource for the Standalone itself.
Especially creating fractals

Thanks

Is there a way to convert a obj into a Vectron

Hi I'm looking for a way to use the Vectron features on a obj model? Or any other 3D model. Or even possibly an animated model that I brought into octane Standalone.

Thanks

Purchasing license isseues

I ran into a problem purchasing a license. I believe I had this same problem last year. I can't remember how I resolved it. But this time I went to a completely different route. And I noticed something that should be addressed.

I'm located in the United States. I've been an octane user since ...

Exporting To standalone

Hey Paul, I've noticed when exporting to Octane standalone. In octane the Alembic file assigns all the model's names like in the attached.

I was wondering why doesn't it have the Poser figure or object names (like in the poser are hierarchy menu) in these object ...

Re: 3d connexion Will Not Rotate or tilt

I use an old 3d explorer, even deprecated model by now, and has always worked on every Octane version I since V1 beta.
If there is a problem, maybe check the settings of octane or 3DConnexion settings, dominant axis, activation of movements, etc.
Only software that I use regularly that stopped ...

Honestly, I would assume you'd need to mesh your grain result. I don't think we have a way to smooth that out in Octane itself.
Okay, I'll just converting it into a Alembic mesh.
