I have a GTX260 for windows display and a GTX480 for octane rendering. The 480 is quite loud even when not used.
Is it possible to somehow deactivate/reactivate it when I dont need it (without taking it out physicaly)?
Thanks in advance
Chris

Re: GT240 and GTX480 later?
the gt240 is meant for standard display stuff not for octane.
right now i render mainly with blender, yafaray and luxrender.
but i would like to be able to expand my hardware so that i can work with octane too.
as i have no experience with more than one graphics card in a pc i just want to make ...

GT240 and GTX480 later?
I am in the process of ordering a new pc for rendering.
I did some reading on the forums here and want to make sure I understood correctly.
Would it be possible to start with a GT240 now and add a GTX480 later. So I would use the GT240 now for both display and rendering but later I could switch ...
