I just got a little note / suggestion.
I use Octane mainly for stills, often for prints. Would it be possible to implement in the Mesh Preview Resolution a preset for print? We have Digital camera, broadcast, film and more, but it would be nice to have a preset for prints that let you ...

Personally it would be great to be able to test the full power of octane with the Demo, but I think you still building up the application and are doing already late nights to achieve your goals....If someone is seriously interested in Octane, he will invest and pay the extra 99€....

I do not know what is been recoded in octane but I noticed one thing.
I have a complex mesh of a car interior that charged well on the RC1 demo.
I had problems charging it on my first licensed release, sometime the screen was black, sometime it flashed...sometime it was fine.
Now with the latest ...

The current custom animation paths can be made in 3dsmax and you an use the max2octane script to render with. It is production ready.

I've seen this error one in this thread, but I still have it on win7 Maya 2011.... "MeshNode for rendering not usable error" message...

Here at work we have an FX5800 4GB....Octane doesn't show the available memory on the device manager...it says 0mb and does not show the different memory usage neither.

Personally I'm extremely happy knowing a new version is coming out...but guys, aren't you doing a bit too much? you do not have to kill yourself....I know Siggraph is getting closer, but do not burn out!

Bump doesnt seem to work for me in 2.2 RC1 anyone else confirm ? I've tried several different textures and also did the jump between pathtracing and direct trick to see if that helped but nothing does.
