I've finally managed to get around to rendering out my M4A1 weapon I made a while back. Octane is absolutely my favourite renderer and since discovering the reload geometry button I've been using it as much as possible. When was that added? :roll:
Looks good in general, did you make the model ? The eyebrows would look better modeled and rendered, only so far you can push it when it's just textures. Same with the facial hair. There are some issues with the nostrils I noticed too, and I'd like to see the texture under the eyes cleaned up so it ...

I hope it can get updated soon to work even with the keplar test build.
I reinstalled the 2.8 and octane again, and the material editor freeze is fixed.
However the rendering doesn't work. I thought someone said they had it working.
Texture looks too saturated so much is baked into the texture, it's hard to tell if the render is actually any good at all, or the texture is doing most of the work. the ear looks too clean and hard, like cg. Not soft. You can see in the lips the bump map ...
I found this bug, after installing the latest max plugin and build, I cannot add a material, max freezes when I click any of the octane materials from the list I am using the 680 Keplar test build, however the octane software works fine. Any ideas on how to fix this ? Makes the max plugin unusable ...

Could be because I'm using a 680 ? But I thought this was before that.
