Re: Sitting Man Animation

Major thumbs up on Sitting Man, but it's your Lines and Fragmenting The Nonstatic works that really stuck some creative thoughts with me, were both done with Houdini?

Re: Octane Render 1.022 beta2.2 RC1 available for testing

On the first look, this RC is faster then the old version. The mix function is great.
Resolution changing during the rendering dont work with my system, but with this problem, i can live. ;)
My system: Win 7 64 bit, GTS 250, Octane 1.022 beta2.2 RC1 64bit

Re: wondering about 480GTX

So when multi GPU support is available 2 X 470 would be better than a single 480, nearly twice the cores and memory from both cards would be available for rendering 3GB+/- correct? Or will we still only be able to use memory from 1 card and just the additional cores from the second GPU

I was going ...

Re: Octane Render 1.021 beta2.1 RC1 available for testing

Hi,

pausing would'nt be ok, i'd rather add a frame offset so you can recommence rendering at frame X,
say if you already have rendered 150 frames, you set the offset to 151 and it will continue.

Radiance

A Frame offset would help, but only if you can remember or record all the other settings ...

Re: Octane Render 1.021 beta2.1 RC1 available for testing

Is anyone else having problems with corrupt PNG check sum errors? I have been using VirtualDub for months and never had a single problem. Every animation I render with Octane, VirtualDub is kicking out on RANDOM frames with corrupt PNG errors, this is both viewing previews and trying to render out ...

"- can choose which gpu to use by default as command line flag (-g x)"

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I don't know if anyone else has reported this but in the turntable animation settings menu, mouse over text tip of "Direction" shows "Frames per second" same as FPS.

Re: Regarding octane closing with pathtracing & high resolutions

So if I have a pair of 9800gt's, running the OS on 1 and rendering on second I shouldn't have the driver time out problem? Because I do, when I push beyond a 2 second render pass the driver shuts down every time.

I know very little about reg keys, but in the case of 2 GPUs are there still only 1 ...

Re: Processing of new orders

Thanks Radiance, I just just figured out what happened, the order page says download info will be sent to your registered forum email? I used my wife's Paypal and the email went to her!
