Re: Thin Lens Camera settings not in 3Ds Max?
Thank you for your reply. This is the news I wanted to hear, and that you are waiting for it to O3 is fully understandable.
Last time I heard about it, Otoy's reply sounded like it was never going to be taken care of, hence my skepsism.

Re: Thin Lens Camera settings not in 3Ds Max?
YES for this. Now knowing that the standalone already has this feature, it seems even more strange not to have it in the plugin. Is there some kind of issue about adding this? I'm asking since Daniel asked about this before and got a totally irrelevant response with no indication of that this will ...

Re: Adaptive Rendering
Whatever the jargon, they seem to have a method that prioritizes render power to where it's needed, particularly related to light sampling.
Note that "they" are just one person. FStorm is being developed by one single person, and he claims he started with it in May 2015 so not even a year ago ...

Re: Volumetric Fog in 2.x + video tutorial
Well you're right, but you still can't have the camera inside the fog without having am inverted sphere around it, I wouldn't call that support

Volumetric Fog in 2.x + video tutorial
So I was experimenting with fog and with some help from a friend on the Facebook Octane group (join it if you're not in it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/OctaneRender/ ) I came up with this. I'm really amazed that Octane can create this wonderful looking fog without even having official support ...

Sorry for my late reply.
I'll definately sum up my thoughts about the high pass layer and before/after images. I'll be back

Re: Relaxing cup of coffee.
It's funny because all of you talking about render speed probably missed this:
but it probably got noise free much earlier than that.
I don't know when the image was ready, all I know was that I aborted it after 4 hours :-) We're all octaner's here, we all know that it's fast :D
Anyway, as for ...

Scandinavian loft corner
Hey folks!
A personal project of mine, made to study what makes a photo look like a photo. Found out the biggest problem I have in Octane is to get that nice "micro contrast" that many photos have, Octane renders quite often look a bit bleak (I miss some sliders for contrast etc in camera settings ...
