Re: Ready for Render .Obj files (use as instances)
You can "Save as Default" for a proxy material, then when you next use that OBJ file, it will use the saved default Octane material.
I tried this but didn't work.
When the proxy object is selected in Revit view port and I right click on the material's node, the "Save to default" option is ...

Re: Ready for Render .Obj files (use as instances)
Thanks for the feedback Paul, but isn't there a way to setup the object in Octane stand alone and reuse it in the plugin ?
Cheers,
Samer

Ready for Render .Obj files (use as instances)
Hi,
Is there a way to store obj material setup to place in Revit proxy in order to avoid setting the material up every time I add the instance?
Maybe using the stand alone to setup the materials for the object and exporting it ready for render?
Thanks,
Samer

Re: "Octane render setup window is already open" with no window!
Thank you Paul, that did fix the problem.face_off wrote:You can delete "config.xml" as per http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Revit/?page_id=23 to reset the windows.
Paul
But instead of deleting it completely, I adjusted the values in <SetupX> and <SetupY> nodes to 100.
Cheers,
Samer

Re: "Octane render setup window is already open" with no window!
Thank you Seeker for your reply, but I have checked for minimized plugin window before I posted this.
You're right though, its a common confusion when you have windows minimized inside Revit and get somehow hidden under other windows.

"Octane render setup window is already open" with no window!
Hi,
I have been using the Revit plugin placing its window on a second monitor, when I came back the next day the Octane render setup widow wont show anymore on any monitor. Clicking the Octane render Addin button again will state that the window is already open.
I tried re-installing the plugin ...

Revir is crashing on medium large scenes
I have a 10 story building with some extra details, when I open the Octane render preview, it crashed after converting approximately 3540 objects, is this a limitation or its something I'm missing?
